Be sure to do the following before doing an update to protect against misbehaving iPhone update process.

1) Verify that your information is intact in MEO.
2) Reboot your iPhone.
3) Perform a sync/backup with iTunes.
4) After the sync completes, uncheck the option “Automatically sync when this iPhone[ or iPod] is connected.
5) Perform the download on your iPhone/iPod Touch.
6) After download check the information in MEO. It will likely be there in full, but check all the categories to be sure.
7) If your data isn’t there, unlikely but it does seem to happen to 1 in 15,000 users, then perform a full restore of your iPhone/iPod Touch. Your data will be moved back to your iPhone.
LAST STEP) Check the option “Automatically sync when this iPhone[ or iPod] is connected so future connections will sync and backup.
