We added the ability to reset your password in 1.2, but it does more that reset the password; it deletes all the existing data! It has to if you think about it.

If somebody finds your lost iPhone or stole you iPhone, do you want them to simply reset your password and then get access to your data? That’s an easy answer.

A Measure of Last Resort

So if you forget your password, you can start over by doing the following. On any screen you see the button “Delete Password and ALL Information” click it. (This screen shot is on the Password Setting screen and you have to scroll the window to get access to it. The need for scrolling is for protection from an accidental touch.)



Then you will see this Alert:



If you chose to “Delete Password and Info” It will do as it says and you will then see this alert:



Finally it will take you to the Welcome screen and have you select a password when you hit Continue.
